You Need Faith

'Faith is the substance of things hoped for...' Hebrews 11:1 NKJV

You don't need faith unless you're hoping for something.
Hope establishes the goal; faith is the bridge that gets you to it.
There's no need to build a bridge if you're not going anywhere. But if you're going after something you can't reach on your own, you need the bridge of faith to get you there.
'...This is the victory that has overcome the world - our faith' (1 John 5:4 NKJV).
Never has it been more important to teach moral standards.
But unless we also teach people how to stand in faith in God's Word, they'll end up using willpower and discipline to fight the devil, and they'll lose.
Jesus told Peter,
'I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail...' (Luke 22:32 NKJV).
When you're up to your neck in problems and don't know which way to turn, speak to yourself and say, 'Faith, don't fail me now!'.
The Bible says,
'Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God' (Romans 10:17 NKJV).
It's in hearing yourself declare God's Word that your faith grows.
And here's another Scripture: '...But the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it' (Hebrews 4:2 NKJV).

You can have an expression of faith, yet not enjoy the benefits of faith.
You can get excited about a sermon in church, yet nothing changes in your life. You've got to get the 'mix' right. You've got to take what you hear and mix it with what you think, say and do.
Faith is not an emotion:
it's a decision to:
stand on God's Word.

Blessing Will Come on You

All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God.” (Deuteronomy 28:2, NIV)

All the time, I hear testimonies of what God is doing in the lives of His people. Even recently, a man told me how he received a check in the mail unexpectedly, an inheritance from a loved one he had never met. With that one check, he was able to pay off his house which was a desire of his heart. He thought it was going to take him 30 years, but God had other plans. It happened in a fraction of the time!

Friend, when you're in covenant with God, when you keep His commands and honor Him with your tithes and offerings, you are positioning yourself under an open window of heaven. He'll do things for you in a fraction of the time of what it would take anybody else! His blessings will come on you and overtake you!

Why don't you take the limits off of your life today by stepping out in faith?
Do what the Word says and keep an attitude of faith and expectancy.
Know that He loves you with an everlasting love, and He wants to overtake you with His blessings today!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, I come to You with an open and humble heart. Thank You for surprising me with Your love and blessings today. Keep me close to You and help me to always follow Your Word in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Measure of Faith #01

... Use Yours

'...God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.' Romans 12:3 NKJV

The amount of faith God has given you is equal to the assignment He's given you. So whatever you're facing, tell yourself, 'God has given me the faith to handle this.'

Nothing's more important than your faith. Jesus told Peter, '...Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail...' (Luke 22:31-32 NKJV).

Faith is more important than money, or career success, or reputation. Everything can be taken from you but, if you have faith, you'll bounce back.

Faith is like having a direct line to God. As the prayer of faith goes up, His power flows down. As a result, you are more than adequate for the challenge. Failure is never final, as long as your faith doesn't fail.

That's why Satan will do everything he can to keep you from spending time each day in the Scriptures. 'Faith comes by hearing...the word of God' (Romans 10:17 NKJV). Jesus said, '...If you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, "Move from here to there," and it will move...' (Matthew 17:20 NKJV).

There are obstacles in your life that will only be removed by faith. And you don't need a truckload of it, just a mustard seed. Think: a tiny seed has the power to grow, overcome obstacles and become a mighty tree. It will press up through the ground, around rocks, braving storms, withstanding animals and other threats to its life.

It's not so much the size of your faith, but the quality of it that determines your success. So today, use your 'measure of faith'.
